Official American Idol CD-G Training Discs are available. This is sad. Real karaoke artists know that those people on American Idol are just wannabes who will never understand the true nature of karaoke as an art and a science.

I have spent a good part of the last 7 years in the karaoke industry and I can assure you that American Idol is not karaoke. In fact, I’d bet my shiny new M-Audio Sound Check Dynamic Microphone on it.

I can’t stop you. So if you are going to practice karaoke for American Idol, get this mic and start singing. Just don’t call it karaoke, you trader.
